Horse Tourism in the Clee Hill & Corvedale Areas of Shropshire

Shropshire Marches Horse Trails venues in the Corvedale and Brown Clee area are situated in an AONB  (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) amongst A E Housemans unspoilt ‘Blue Remembered Hills’ and valleys of South Shropshire.

Each venue in this area is linked and together we provide a chance for you to ride from one to the other or to just stay in one place.

Using the Jack Mytton Way Bridleway and crossing either the Wenlock Edge or the Long Mynd our area links well with a choice of the Bishops Castle area in the west or the Bridgnorth area towards the West Midlands where the Sabrina Way Bridleway can be located.

By choosing to stay at one of our venues you will be able to enjoy a varied riding experience incorporating rides of 5 miles to 25 miles or more. Our countryside is criss crossed by numerous bridleways, all of which are regularly ridden and are proven routes. Our quiet lanes lead you to these and through small hamlets, villages with fords and onto the hillsides or green valleys. You can decide to explore untamed forests, bracken hillsides, farm land, moors, park land or even the highest point in Shropshire – The Brown Clee Hill.

Enjoy pub lunches, picnic rides on your own or sometimes with a guide by prior arrangement.

Try a way marked farm ride which incorporates optional jumps and a Le Trec stair case.

For those wanting to improve their riding why not book a lesson locally or try schooling on one of two cross country courses available nearby.

Those wanting to explore on their own can use our detailed maps which show clearly the routes available, either clover leaf, to enjoy the riding in one venue, or linear to take you onto your next destination available in the Corvedale and Brown Clee Area.

A forward luggage arrangement is available upon request at a pre agreed price.

The area has plenty to offer besides the riding. The market towns of Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Craven Arms are all within a 10 mile radius.

We are spoilt by a choice of rich and varied places to eat out: from excellent pubs with locally sourced produce to Mitchelin starred restaurants.

Venues within The Corvedale and Brown Clee Area provide their guests with quality accommodation for both rider and horse.

The BHS Horses Welcome Scheme has been awarded to our venues and we pride ourselves as experienced riders and owners by ensuring your stay will be a safe and enjoyable experience.
