About Us:

Middle Woodbatch Farm is a small family fun livestock farm that dates back to the 1700s.

We are located on the Shropshire/Wales border 1.5 miles from the small market town of Bishops Castle in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

We are also very fortunate to be close to an extensive network of bridleways that include the Jack Mytton Way, the Kerry Ridgeway and the new Blue Remembered Hills bridleway (opening may 08) that comes right through our farmyard.

We are also close to the Long Mynd that gives you access to Ride UK routes and an endless choice of fantastic bridleways to explore.

Our location enables you to be able to ride vast open hills, quiet country lanes and secluded woodland trails, whether you like long, short, circular or linear routes our many and varied riding options has something for everyone.

We also provide good linking routes to the Thresholds Centre and to Seifton and down to the Corvedale areas. Being a horse owner rider myself I have good local knowledge of all the bridleways and can provide you with all the information you need to ensure that both you and your horse have an enjoyable time with us.

After a leisurely day exploring the Shropshire countryside return to Middle Woodbatch Farm where we have unlimited turnout for your horse, or if you prefer use one of our spacious 15x12ft stables, or if you require more indoor space  make use of one of our large cattle yards ,that are empty during the summer months.

For you ,make yourself at home in our newly renovated farmhouse, our accommodation comprises 1 double room, and 2 double/twin guest rooms, all are en-suite and all are furnished to a high standard, we only use the best quality towels and bed linen.

All rooms have colour TV, alarm clock radios, hospitality trays, hairdryers and many more little extras.
We also have a small guest lounge, or if you prefer you are most welcome to make use of our sitting room where we have a lovely wood burner which is great for thawing out by during the cooler months.

For breakfast we offer an extensive menu, using whenever possible the best quality home and local produce.
In the evenings why not take advantage of one of the many pubs in   Bishops Castle offering great food, and sample some real ales produced by the local breweries.

For those of you who prefer the outdoor life Middle Woodbatch Farm has a small highly recommended campsite, chosen as one of 50 favourite UK campsites by the Guardian national newspaper camping guide 2007.
